Decoding the Notes: A Beginner’s Guide to Understanding Perfume Pyramids
When you read the description of a luxury perfume like Liquid Brun or Afnan 9PM, you often see a list of ingredients like "Top Notes," "Heart Notes," and "Base Notes."…

Lattafa Khanjar, from the Niche Emarati line launched in 2023 by the Dubai house Lattafa, is a spicy leather scent often loved as a take on Marc Antoine Barrois Ganymede. It is well blended with good longevity at 8 hours plus and strong projection.
The first ten minutes are nutmeg, pimento, and ginger. Around the twenty minute mark cashmeran, violet, and patchouli take over and the opening pulls back. The dry down settles into leather, incense, vetiver, and musk. Expect around 6 to 9 hours. Projects well and fills a room early on.
In Bangladesh that means the cool stretch from November to February. In Dhaka humidity a scent this warm turns heavy fast, so one or two sprays goes further than you think.
Rich and traditional rather than modern and soft, so it divides people. It is most often compared to Marc Antoine Barrois Ganymede. If it is not the one, Lattafa Dynasty, Rasasi Hawas Lava Gold, and MAISON ASRAR III Thriller sit in the same territory.
Lattafa Khanjar decants start at ৳300 for the 3ml size and run to ৳2,260 for 30ml, hand poured from a sealed authentic bottle. Want a Ganymede style scent? Get your original Lattafa Khanjar Decant from Arovell and try it on your own skin.
