Oud Zarian, launched in 2025 by Creed and created by perfumer Cecile Zarokian, is built around an eighty year aged oud sourced from the Sylhet forests. It is a genuine love it or hate it fragrance and the performance is enormous, so testing before a full bottle matters more than usual here.
The first ten minutes are ginger, bergamot, and spicy notes. Around the twenty minute mark centifolia rose absolute and incense take over and the opening pulls back. The dry down settles into patchouli, aged oud, licorice root, and myrrh. Expect around 9 to 12 hours or more. Projects hard and carries across a room.
Best for everyone, him or her, who loves opulent oud and incense for evenings, formal events, weddings, and special occasions in fall and winter. In Bangladesh that means the cool stretch from November to February. In Dhaka humidity a scent this warm turns heavy fast, so one or two sprays goes further than you think.
