Ambergris

0 products
Ambergris is a rare waxy material formed in the digestive system of sperm whales and weathered in the ocean. Because natural ambergris is scarce, modern perfumes commonly recreate its effect with materials such as ambroxide and related amber molecules. It typically smells salty, warm, musky, mineral, slightly sweet and animalic. Its classic role is as a base-note fixative and blender, helping other materials feel smoother and more persistent. Ambergris is not the same thing as the sweet “amber” accord used in many perfumes.

How Ambergris Works in Perfume

Perfumes featuring Ambergris can move in different directions depending on concentration and the notes around it. Pairings such as citrus, woods, musk, florals and marine notes can make it feel fresher, darker, sweeter or drier. That is why a note list is a guide, not a guarantee of the final smell. Sampling several perfumes is the easiest way to understand the range of Ambergris. At Arovell Bangladesh, you can explore authentic decants and wear each fragrance properly before considering a full bottle.
