Cedarwood
0 products
Cedarwood materials used in perfumery can come from several botanical sources, including Virginia cedarwood and Atlas cedarwood. Their oils are distilled from wood and can vary in dryness, smokiness and balsamic depth. It typically smells dry, woody, pencil-like, earthy, slightly smoky and sometimes balsamic. Cedarwood is mainly a base material, giving structure, dryness and persistence while supporting fresh, aromatic, floral and woody compositions. Different “cedarwood” oils are not identical, and some so-called cedar materials come from juniper relatives rather than true Cedrus trees.

How Cedarwood Works in Perfume
Perfumes featuring Cedarwood can move in different directions depending on concentration and the notes around it. Pairings such as vetiver, patchouli, bergamot, sandalwood and musk can make it feel fresher, darker, sweeter or drier. That is why a note list is a guide, not a guarantee of the final smell. Sampling several perfumes is the easiest way to understand the range of Cedarwood. At Arovell Bangladesh, you can explore authentic decants and wear each fragrance properly before considering a full bottle.
