Labdanum
0 products
Labdanum is a sticky aromatic resin obtained from rockrose, especially Cistus ladanifer. It is a key building block of classic amber accords because it combines warmth, resin, leather and animalic depth. It typically smells ambery, resinous, leathery, sweet, smoky and slightly animalic. It is a long-lasting base material that gives amber, leather, chypre and incense compositions weight and warmth. Labdanum is an actual resin; “amber” is the broader accord that often uses labdanum as one component.

How Labdanum Works in Perfume
If Labdanum catches your attention, look beyond the note pyramid and notice what surrounds it. It commonly works with benzoin, vanilla, patchouli, oakmoss and incense, but the balance of those materials determines whether the result feels light, rich, clean or intense. One perfume may put Labdanum in the spotlight while another uses it only for texture. Try the fragrance on skin and give the drydown time to develop. Arovell’s authentic decants let you explore perfumes with Labdanum in Bangladesh without starting with a full bottle.
