Patchouli
0 products
Patchouli oil is distilled from the leaves of Pogostemon cablin. It is one of perfumery’s most versatile base materials, and modern fractions can smell much cleaner and smoother than the rough earthy patchouli many people imagine. It typically smells earthy, woody, dark green, camphoraceous, chocolate-like or clean depending on the material. It is mainly a base note, adding depth, persistence and contrast to florals, fruits, gourmands, chypres and woody fragrances. Patchouli can be earthy and damp, but refined patchouli materials can also be clean, transparent and almost polished.

How Patchouli Works in Perfume
When you browse perfumes with Patchouli, do not expect every bottle to smell identical. The note can be the main idea or a small supporting detail, and the surrounding formula changes how you perceive it. Common pairings include rose, amber, vanilla, woods and citrus. If you are still learning the note, compare a few different styles side by side before deciding what you like. Arovell offers authentic perfume decants in Bangladesh, so you can test how Patchouli actually behaves on your skin before committing to a full bottle.
