Vetiver
0 products
Vetiver oil is distilled from the roots of Chrysopogon zizanioides. Different origins and fractions can smell earthy, smoky, nutty, green, grapefruit-like or very clean, which makes vetiver unusually versatile. It typically smells earthy, dry woody, grassy, smoky, rooty and sometimes citrus-like. It is mainly a base note, giving structure and dryness to citrus, aromatic, woody and chypre fragrances while lasting well on skin. Vetiver can be smoky and earthy or polished and fresh depending on the oil and how it has been refined.

How Vetiver Works in Perfume
If Vetiver catches your attention, look beyond the note pyramid and notice what surrounds it. It commonly works with grapefruit, bergamot, cedar, patchouli and spices, but the balance of those materials determines whether the result feels light, rich, clean or intense. One perfume may put Vetiver in the spotlight while another uses it only for texture. Try the fragrance on skin and give the drydown time to develop. Arovell’s authentic decants let you explore perfumes with Vetiver in Bangladesh without starting with a full bottle.
