Honey

Honey-forward perfumes emphasize a sweet, golden effect that can also feel waxy, floral, syrupy or slightly animalic. In a finished perfume, the honey impression may be built from several aroma materials rather than smelling like one jar of honey. Honey can make a floral fragrance richer, turn tobacco warmer and sweeter, or push an amber or gourmand composition into a denser direction. A category label is a useful starting point, not a promise that every perfume inside it will smell the same.
