Outlands, launched in 2024 by the Omani haute luxury house Amouage and created by perfumer Cecile Zarokian, is the bestselling scent from The Essences collection, dosed at around 30% oils and aged for six months. It opens with a bright, unexpectedly light hearted burst of lemon, bergamot, cardamom, Sichuan pepper, elemi, and frankincense.
A dense, spicy heart of patchouli, saffron, orange blossom, rose, and coriander pulls you deeper, while vanilla, amber, benzoin, oud, labdanum, and musk in the base leave a warm, smoky, resinous trail with enormous projection and very long lasting power.
Best for everyone, him or her, who wants a serious luxury scent for evenings, formal events, and special occasions in fall and winter. It is the most approachable and perfumey of The Essences trio, but it still carries that unmistakable big, projecting Amouage signature.
