Amouage Outlands, launched in 2024 by the Omani haute luxury house Amouage and created by perfumer Cecile Zarokian, is the bestselling scent from The Essences collection, dosed at around 30% oils and aged for six months. It is the most approachable and perfumey of The Essences trio, but it still carries that unmistakable big, projecting Amouage signature. The first ten minutes are lemon, bergamot, cardamom, and sichuan pepper. Around the twenty minute mark patchouli, saffron, orange blossom, and rose take over and the opening pulls back. The dry down settles into vanilla, amber, benzoin, and oud. Expect around 9 to 12 hours or more. Projects enormously and is easy to overspray. Best for everyone, him or her, who wants a serious luxury scent for evenings, formal events, and special occasions in fall and winter. In Bangladesh that means the cool stretch from November to February. In Dhaka humidity a scent this warm turns heavy fast, so one or two sprays goes further than you think.
