Nawab of Oudh, launched in 2012 by the London niche house Ormonde Jayne and created by perfumer Geza Schoen, is a jewel from The Four Corners of the Earth collection inspired by the ruling Nawabs of central India. The first ten minutes are cardamom, orange, bergamot, and aldehydes. Around the twenty minute mark rose, pimento, cinnamon, and orchid take over and the opening pulls back. The dry down settles into agarwood (oud), ambergris, vetiver, and labdanum. Expect around 9 to 12 hours or more. Projects well and fills a room early on.
